Here's a note about Massif Cool Knit from a Marine Corps unit commander just returning from Iraq:
 |
"I am a Commanding Officer with the USMC recently returned from a deployment to Iraq and would like to comment on the superior performance of your nomex Cool-Knit t-shirts. Before we left, I searched the commercial market for nomex products and bought 3 of your Cool Knit t-shirts. I found the shirts to be extremely comfortable and had moisture wicking ability similar to that of Under Armour® heat gear, which was critical with operations in temperatures of 110 to 120 degrees. We were forward deployed in the city of Al Fallujah without access to running water, so I wore one of your t-shirts 24 hours a day for about 10 days at a time before washing it. After each washing, there was no retention of odor from the previous wearing, nor pilling or weakening of the fabric despite wearing approximately 60 pounds of equipment for each patrol. Your shirts are some of the best equipment I have used in the Marines and I look forward to using other products from Massif in the future." |

Here's another note from a soldier in Kuwait doing testing and evaluation on a Massif Nomex® Cool Knit T-Shirt:
 |
"I got the shirt a few days ago and have worn it and washed it every day since I have got it. Here are my first impressions:
The shirt is very comfortable! Right out of the box and after a few washings the fit and feel is great. The color is perfect; the new Army regulations changed the t-shirt color from brown to tan and the color on this shirt is great. I really like the cut of the shirt with the back of the shirt being longer to stay tucked in. Sleeve length and size for an XL seem right on with other t-shirts that I wear. The moisture wicking properties are effective! I have worn the shirt under both single and two piece flight suits with and without armor. I also wore just the t-shirt and my armor on several flights. The shirt works great; it is as effective as any moisture wicking shirts I have used." |
