Fire and Ice(tm) Layering System

The Massif Fire and Ice™ Layering System is specifically designed for a wide range of US Military applications including Aviation, Armored Cav, Coast Guard, and Special Forces.

Each of the components in the layering system are made from 100% fire resistant fabrics containing DuPont™ Nomex® brand fibers. This system provides protection from flame and arc hazards, while keeping users comfortable and dry in a range of extreme weather conditions. The system has been successfully deployed in temperatures ranging from -50° F in Alaska and Antarctica to over 120° in the desert Southwest and the Middle East.

Waterproof, windproof, breathable, fleece-lined, 4-way-stretch outer layer protects you from the Elements like nothing else in the world. Extremely warm, extremely safe, and extremely comfortable.

All new Nomex® 4-way-stretch fleece stretches up to 190% to comfortably form fit to your body. Wear alone, as a base layer under Elements, or as part of the complete 3-layer system to increase comfort and extend your range of operating temperatures.

Replace dangerous and clammy cotton, silk, wool, and polypro with Massif HotJohns Nomex® long underwear. HotJohns are made from a soft, stretchy, non-itchy Nomex® fabric that wicks moisture away from the skin and insulates when wet. Wear in conjunction with Flamestretch™, Elements, or both.

Brand new extremely lightweight high-tech Nomex® fabric. Highly wicking, stretchy, soft, comfortable! Passes rigorous ASTM D6413 standard for flame resistance.
